The far south features Ho Chi Minh City, also known as Saigon. Being Vietnam's largest city, it teems with life as a neverending stream of motorcycles zigzag their way through the bustling streets. For a more relaxing pace, head to the Mekong Delta, Vietnam's 'rice basket', or to the ancient city of Hoi An for a leisurely stroll through the old quarter with its charming souvenir shops and restaurants.
Endless white sand beaches, charming fishing villages and numerous types of rare flora and fauna are all found in Phan Thiet, Nha Trang and Da Nang.
