12 Day Luxury Vietnam Adventure
Hanoi - Lao Cai - Sapa - Halong Bay - Ninh Van Bay - Ho Chi Minh City
Your journey begins in the charming capital of Hanoi, Vietnam’s artistic and intellectual heart. Wander through the vibrant Old Quarter, where hundreds of specialty shops line the narrow streets. Stroll around the serene Hoan Kiem Lake, enjoy a traditional cyclo ride to dinner, and take in a captivating show at the renowned Thang Long Water Puppet Theater. Dine in elegant French colonial villas transformed into gourmet restaurants, blending history and haute cuisine.
Next, board the luxurious Victoria Express train to the misty mountains of Sapa. Trek through terraced landscapes to reach remote villages, visit lively markets where hill tribe minorities trade their handmade goods, and marvel at stunning waterfalls and scenic mountain valleys. Northern Vietnam offers some of Asia’s most dramatic views—carpeted in emerald-green rice terraces.
From the highlands, head to the coast for a once-in-a-lifetime experience in Halong Bay, one of the world's most breathtaking natural wonders. Cruise in style aboard the elegant Bhaya, a traditional wooden junk boat with twenty luxurious cabins. Kayak between limestone islets, explore hidden caves, and soak in the serenity of this UNESCO World Heritage site.
Fly south to the idyllic beach town of Nha Trang, where your private seaside villa at the Evason Hideaway awaits. Nestled in the secluded beauty of Ninh Van Bay, unwind with spa treatments, dive or snorkel among colorful coral reefs, hike through lush landscapes, or simply relax in your private plunge pool and take in the unspoiled mountain and ocean views.
Your journey concludes in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam’s dynamic southern metropolis. As the country's commercial and cultural hub, it offers a vibrant blend of history, modern luxury, boutique shopping, and an ever-growing culinary scene.

You will be able to enjoy a free day of leisure in the colonial city of Hanoi. You may like to visit the bustling, narrow streets of the Old Quarter, or perhaps opt for cultural sights by visiting some of Hanoi's many museums, in particular the Museum of Ethnology, dedicated to Vietnam's 54 ethnic minority peoples. Perhaps you could visit Hoa Lo prison, formerly known by its inmates as 'The Hanoi Hilton'. Some of its more notable guests included Senator John McCain and Douglas Peterson, the first post-war US Ambassador to Vietnam.
You could stroll around the French Quarter, where many of the Embassies are located. Maybe a shopping expedition in the old quarter, or just relaxing around one of the many parks and lakes that help make Hanoi one of the greenest cities in Asia. Your trip to Sapa starts with an overnight train journey from Vietnam's capital city to the border town of Lao Cai. The luxury Victoria Express departs at 22:00.
Overnight on the train.
The train arrives at the Lao Cai train station at approximately 06:00. There will be a vehicle waiting to transfer us to Sapa. The drive to Sapa is only 33 km, but it takes around 1.5 hours.
