Delhi Travel Guide

The capital of India and also the second most used entry point into the country. The city is well connected by air, rail and road to most other parts of the country. Delhi also acts as a hub, where a series of short excursions can be taken to neighboring places, all connected by road, and also forms part of the well-known “Golden Triangle’ together with Agra and Jaipur.

With a rich and interesting history carrying on for centuries, the city has seen and attracted many rulers, invaders, businessmen, builders,  poets, painters and intellectuals from different parts of the world. Delhi is a city that seamlessly blends its ancient past and modern present, where old forts, tombs and ruins share the skyline with high-rise buildings and stately homes.

The city’s wide tree-lined avenues of New Delhi give way to the crowded narrow lanes of Old Delhi- where a different culture and lifestyle can be noted. More recently, Delhi has positioned itself as one of the most forward-looking and best run cities in the country, whilst boosting a tourism infrastructure that compares with the best in the world. Featuring international hotels with extensive facilities, gourmet restaurants, luxury coaches, bargain shopping, ethnic entertainment and convenient connections for travelling, Delhi is an ultimate travel experience worth exploring.
