  • How to Travel to United Arab Emirates (UAE)

    Daily flights operate into Dubai and Abu Dhabi on a daily basis. Emirates Airlines into Dubai and Etihad Airlines into Abu Dhabi are the preffered options. The UAE is a great stopover destination on your way to other destinations due to the widely connected network of flights offered by these airlines. On the other hand the UAE also has alot to offer as a destination with massive developments sprouting around the cities each year.

  • Do I need visas for United Arab Emirates?

    South African Passport Holders require visas to enter the UAE. Visas need to be obtained before traveling to UAE.

  • Best Time to visit the UAE

    The UAE is a year-round destination. With Cool and pleasant temperatures between October - April, summers are humid and hot but offer good value deals. Take note when traveling in the Ramadan period.

  • Ramadan in UAE

    In Islam, Ramadan is a holy month of fasting, introspection and prayer. During this time Muslims do not eat or drink from sunrise to sunset. Most restaurants will be closed during the day at this time of the year. Some hotels will still serve meals and drinks, though you should avoid eating and drinking in public during this time. Dates for the Ramadan vary each year according to the Islamic Lunar Calendar.

    UAE's National Day is on 2nd December which is celebrated throughout the country. Emiratis and and expats decorate houses, cars and monuments with the national flag.

    The weekend in UAE is on the Friday and Saturday.

    A new tram links Jumeirah Beach Residences to Dubai Marina and the metro line.

    Dubai Police are known for driving luxury and fast cars, with Lambourghini, Bugatti and McLaren topping the range.

    Several mosques are open for visitors in the UAE, such as the Jumeirah Mosque in Dubai and Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi.
